ZOOM HEARINGS NOTICE: THIS MOTION/TRIAL/HEARING WILL BE HEARD BY ZOOM TELECONFERENCE. TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HEARING YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS TO THE COURT AT SCHEDULING.SUMNER.CHANCERY@TNCOURTS.GOV AT LEAST TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE HEARING. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER, TABLET OR SMART PHONE WITH A WORKING CAMERA, MICROPHONE AND SPEAKER YOU ARE REQUIRED TO FILE A STATEMENT TO THAT EFFECT WITH THE CLERK AND MASTER AT LEAST TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE HEARING.  PLEASE INCLUDE A PHONE NUMBER THAT YOU MAY BE REACHED.

NOTICE: Effective February 1, 2023 all PROBATE Hearings may ONLY be conducted in-person by receiving prior permission from the Chancellor. 

 

 

CIVIL/DOMESTIC Motions are typically heard on Monday’s at 9:00am (for matters with NO testimony or argument) or 1:00pm (for any type of motion).  

If you are filing a MOTION TO DISMISS OR MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT, PLEASE REQUEST A HEARING DATE BY E-MAILING: SCHEDULING.SUMNER.CHANCERY@TNCOURTS.GOV.  These types of Motions are NO LONGER heard on regular motion dates and will be heard by ZOOM.
